SharePoint Divider webpart
On our new modern sites, all the dividers have suddenly become a darker shade from the light grey that was previously there. Has there been any changes done on the backend to enforce the change.
Nobody from our side has changed themes or made any changes to the divider web part but it seems that our tenant sites are now showing a dark divider line?
- Sburuin26Copper ContributorSame issue on one of my clients, we used custom theme that should make the divider a gold color but now it’s grey specifically #808080 and I can’t override now

Totally agree with other posters, we had to go back and change the weight of the divider on our pages, as we are early on in the migration process, not an insurmountable problem, but if they correct this 'design change' that will be a whole other issue
- DaveRHACopper Contributorits happened to me. all my dividers are now white and i didn't ask for that. i needed them grey on a black background. its totally changed the look of the company intranet. Microsoft support have told me this is a design change, but im challenging what they are telling me. Ive not known Microsoft to change already implemented design changes without some kind of coms about it.
- Dhiran GajjarIron ContributorThanks for the feedback and I agree about not seeing any comms about this.
- charlettacampbellCopper ContributorI've noticed the same with our sites and but couldn't find anything on the Microsoft site about the change.
- Dhiran GajjarIron ContributorThank you for confirming my sanity 🙂
I would recommend to open a support ticket to report the issue
