SharePoint display template - Show email in a decent way
In my search results I get documents and emails. The document are displayed in a proper way. I do like the preview.
However the display of the emails is very poor.
"blabla bla bla cm@domain.com User namet SMTP cm@domain.com blabla … "
I would like to show the body of the email here in a clean way. I tried some thing with the display template but, so far, no luck. Can someone point me in the right direction?
The ultimate solution would be to have the preview option available. As far as I know this is not available for .msg files.
Is it possible to use owa to preview the emails?

There is a SharePoint Add-in that provides previewing capabilities in the browser. See SLIM Companion Email Manager (https://store.office.com/search.aspx?productgroup=SharePoint&qu=slim). There is a trial version. The current version only supports previewing of msg files. Attachments can be directly opened. It also caters for opening nested msg files. Support for eml files is under development. Creating a search form for emails plus previewing is also planned for. Note: I am affiliated with the vendor. Paul
