SharePoint date & time field view

Hi all,

 

I have a list which has a couple of Date & Time fields.

 

For some reason when I viewed the list recently the view for the date & time field has changed format from e.g. mm/dd to " number of days from now".

 

Any idea on how to change the format back to mm/dd?

    If you go into List Settings and modify that date and time field, about half way down the page it says "Display Format." Sounds like you want Standard, which shows the date and time. The other option, Friendly, shows it like "five days from now" or "a few seconds ago." Not sure why it changed on you, but that should fix it.

      Is it possible to make the 'Standard' as default display format for all date columns at site collection level? I mean when I create a new document library or list, the date would always be displayed in 'Standard' format?
