SharePoint Column Validation

I have a column where they will enter in a contract number but I need the contract number to have up to three uppercase letters, dash with no space and then 5 digits

L-NNNNN

LLL-NNNNN

LLL-NNNNN

I'm not sure how to do this and need some help.
