SharePoint choice column default value as calculated value

Hi ,

I have a choice column inside SharePoint document library for storing Year .

I would like the default value to be calculated value for eg: 2024

I tried using the formula =Year(Today()) but that doesn't work.

Is it possible to get the default value of the column to the current year and are there any alternative?
