Sharepoint central IT management best practices
Hi,
At my company, we would like to use our corporate SPO infra more and more to diminish our local storage needs and foster collaboration but the problem is that we are having a huge sprawl and we don't have any control of what is being published like confidential stuff, documents with personal data in them, DBs etc.
Is there a paper with Central IT SPO management best practices that can help us controlling/avoiding this type of situations?
Thanks/Brgds
jc
Hi jcasqueiro
you need to use a SharePoint and Team Governance. You must restrict the creation of sites/teams and implement a permission concept. You need to implement an organized SharePoint information architecture with physical, flat, structures and logical navigation so that users can find their way around.
Here are more informations about a SharePoint information architecture: https://learn.microsoft.com/sharepoint/information-architecture-modern-experience?WT.mc_id=DX-MVP-5004845
