Sharepoint Calendar custom form questions

I currently have a sharepoint calendar with overlays to make color-coded event types. For two of my four event types, I wish to be able to ask for a certain field of information when a user is entering an event. So, on the event form, I want this one line to only be available for certain event types. Is this possible?
