SharePoint Access Requests Settings
That appears to be wonderful news, but is it going to the SP Owners group members OR to the people connected Office Group Owner role?
Any idea if there is any powershell/csom cmd to implement?

If the first option is configured, access requests are sent to all members of the Team Site Owners group.
If the second option is configured, access requests are sent to a specific user or distribution list.
In any case, only members of the Team Site Owners group can approve or decline access requests.

IMHO, a nice addition but not a game changer...

Is there anyone who is able confirm that distribution list is work with Request For Access. I've got an error when I try to put 2 email addresses or distribution list.
Error Sorry, something went wrong
The e-mail address being passed is either empty, too big or incorrect. - Dean_GrossMay 04, 2018Silver Contributor
Thanks, it looks like this is just a slight improvement over the classic SP site access request process and will still result in requesters getting added to the SP Member group instead of to the connected Office Group (which is what I'm still hoping to get)
- May 04, 2018I believe I have seen this in a message posted in the message center, but I cannot find it now

jcgonzalezmartin It is still available in Message Center with ID = MC189888
Message Center Link: Site owners can now manage sharing and access request settings from the Site permissions panel

- LisaJo48Oct 07, 2019Iron ContributorThis sounds like just what I have been asking about. One question, though, that is still a bit of a gray area for me.
In this new feature, where you can choose who receives the access requests, one option is the Owners which sounds promising. My question is, when the site is associated with an O365 Group/TEAMS, does that option actually refer to those who are and only those who are members of the site's owner's group and, therefore, does not also include those who have the role of Site Collection Admin? I ask this because, in the Advanced perms page, the only option, other than specific email address, was "...Admins". This doesn't work for us because there are other users included as Site Collection Admins for the site who are not the site's owners and should not be receiving access requests. We need site owners and only site owners to receive the access requests and I'm hoping that this new features is meeting that need. Can you confirm one way or the other?

that is not a surprise, the inability to find old announcements in the Message Center continues to be a disappointment
- DeletedMay 04, 2018Your right, the message center message went poof :P. I concur that it existed last week lol.
