Sharepoint & OneDrive Library Error

I have 2 OneDrive libraries synced on my Windows 10 computer.

My normal OneDrive for business works perfectly using the new sync tool and is syncing across all devices.

However the OneDrive library that was created for a Sharepoint/Teams Group is having endless issues.

It constantly prompts to enter credentials.. but when you do (and you have to enter twice) it comes up with this error message

""The server you are trying to access is using an authentication protocol not supported by this version of Office"

Any ideas? I have followed the instructions here to updated it to the new sync tool but that did not seem to work.

After I have entered credentials twice, it finally then works... until I restart my computer... so have to do this process each morning. All team members in this group are having the same issue on a  mix of Windows 7 and 10 computers with either Office 2013 or 2016.

  • It seems that even installing the preview of the OneDrive Sync for SPO libraries, you still have the old sync client there. I think you need to be sure the preview is installed and also remove the old client from your PC...or you can wait some days since It's supposed final release of the sync client for SPO libraries will be ready this month
