SharePoint- Issue creating site from template
When trying to create a site from a template I receive a message saying "This shouldn't take long". After waiting several hours the site has still not created. I've repeated this process multiple times.
Any recommendations on what to do here?
- Well, this is one of the side effects of creating a site from a template created using the Save as template feature in SPO...while it's true this feature is there, it's advisable to avoid it

Out of the box. I saved one of my subsites as a template.

What happens when you try browsing to the site collection in a different tab in your browser after waiting a few minutes, do you see an error? You might want to try creating another simple template and see if it still breaks, that should give you some indication as to whether it's your tenant or the template. - What kind of template are you using for the new site?
