Sharepoint - Calendar

I have a Sharepoint list with training dates however I want this to display as a calendar view what is the best way to achieve this?

  • Untechsavy I would suggest the easiest way to do this based on the list you already have would be to create a calendar view from your list. You'll either need to use the created/modified dates as your start & end times for your calendar items otherwise you'll need to create new columns to support those values as they are required to populate the calendar. Here's a great run through of how to create a calendar view: https://stevenanichols.com/2015/05/15/sharepoint-calendar-views-3/

Untechsavy a very easy way to do this is to use the new Calendar View function in Microsoft Lists. Under the pull-down menu for All Items, select "create new view."

A pop-up box appears where you simply name your new view, click on the calendar button, then click Create.

That's all! This is a newly released function so you may not have it yet--but you will soon. Here's a video to walk you through the steps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTV3lNC-EVg&ab_channel=FCTech

Agree with this but there are some elements of functionality with Lists calender views that aren't available as with SharePoint lists (colour filtered overlays being one), but either option works!
