Share a Sharepoint SITE to people without having them create a Microsoft account?
Hi,
I am trying to give access to a sharepoint site to external guest users withou them having to create a Microsoft account, but simply getting an authentication via a verification code.
It works to sharing files and folders in Onedrive as well as Sharepoint, but not for an entire site or subsite.
When I share the site to an external user they have to login with a MS account.
When I share a file or folder from the same site, they can login after a verification code.
Thx for your help
PS Azure AD One time password is enabled, Site sharing permission is allowed for 'specific people'

- Swaminathan SriramIron ContributorHi,
It is the intended and expected behavior currently when you share an entire site to external users.
Sites can't be shared with external users unless they have a Microsoft account or a work or school account in Azure AD.
Please refer this link from Microsoft for the details - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/external-sharing-overview#what-happens-when-users-share.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.- bbel001Copper ContributorThx. That is what I thought.
