Set default site template when creating new MS Teams

I am seeking advice/direction on the possibility to create and then set a default site template that would be used ONLY for when a new SharePoint site is created via MS Teams site and channels are created.  Currently when a new MS Teams site/channel is created a companion SP site is also created (which I dislike greatly!) but the template used is the basic one which no one ever takes the time to modify/adjust to remove the various web parts that are not necessary.  This makes sense because the creator never actually intends to "use" the SP site as an interface, its just the storage facility and their interaction will always be via the MS Teams site/channel.

I'm seeking a solution whereby I can design a standard template that would be used when items such as these are created in the background.  Specifically my hope is that the default template would include a message that indicates the site is actually maintained via the related MS Teams site/channel.

I'd also like to see if it would be possible to somehow adjust the urls of all SP sites created this way, to include an identifier that would denote that it is not an actual "site" but a Teams connected resource.

Is either, both, of these options doable?
