Seeking SharePoint knowledge - Overwriting pdf but keep the old custom meta data from the old file.
I have a user that claims that the situation has changed when overwriting a pdf file in a library. The situation is the following: A library with pdf files and custom managed meta data properties on...
We have several processes that base on the assumption that file upload with already existing identical filename will create a new version of that file, and keeping the already maintained meta data.
I can't imagine some process where deleting the existing metadata might be obliged, cos if the file is from outside SPO it never will have such metadata.
But I'm not a pro 😉
