Seeing Shortened URLs
Recently one of my colleagues brought it to my attention they are having a hard time locating where a document resides. How hard can it be, the full path is in link? Or so I thought.....This does not seem to be the case for all of our sites but we have seen shorter urls on one of our site collections. Anyone know how these are supposed to be deciphered? What is the ":x"? I am guessing the "s" is shortened for Sites
Example: https://tenant.sharepoint.com/:x:/s/sitename/DocLib/EUjgEybQHApDt1qia3WT8REBMV8NekFSqfQZh7qwOE40_Q

There've been a couple posts about this in the last week or so--basically, Microsoft is trying to shorten their links. I don't know that there was any kind of official communication about it outside of Ignite, and my organization has seen the shorter URLs intermittently for a couple weeks.

I remember this mentioned at Ignite but never saw or heard anything more. I ended up opening a case with Premier but they were at a loss. This is something that I would have like to communicate to my colleagues beforehand.
