Search results - between site/subsite and list

Question

currently when I search a subsite I'm getting results from the subsite and lists that are inside that subsite.&nbsp; Is there a way to limit the search results to exclude lists?

Hi&nbsp;Bryan123&nbsp;&nbsp;In your list settings --&gt; advanced list settingsthere is an option to exclude list items from search results.&nbsp;Users who do not have permission to see these items will not see them in search results, no matter what this setting is.Let me know if this helps.&nbsp;Kind regards

Will that setting let me still search the list?

For example, Bryan is listed in the subsite and in the list (2 separate items). If I search Bryan in the list, I only want list items to show. If I search Bryan in the subsite, I only want subsite items to show

Bryan123&nbsp;As mentioned, we can restrict from the list settings to avoid it to be part of Search result.
