Search Dropdown Results Do Not Match Results Page

When typing in a search term in the search box on our main hub site, the initial results that appear in the dropdown have more entries than after I click "Show more results".  Specifically, there are four entries in the dropdown above what is the first entry in the results page.  You may notice the dropdown results has "Files" at the top, but clicking "Files" in the results page does not bring the extra results in either.

Don't both of these methods access the same search data?  Why do they differ?
