Rolling out: Support for default classification label in SharePoint for Office 365 Groups

Hello!

Wanted to inform you that we've started to roll out support for default classifications for group-connected SharePoint sites online.  You may have seen the announcements from earlier this year in this blog post, and might have seen in an Ignite presentation linked here that support for setting default classification values on Office 365 Groups is available in public preview with documentation details here.

This means that if you have specified classification values for Office 365 Groups, you can specify a default, which will show as preselected when creating a new group-connected site from SharePoint Online.

We've rolled out support to First Release customers, and will continue to expand our WW rollout over the next few weeks.

As always, post questions you may have below!

Thanks,

Tejas

Any update here? We have a 3 level classification schema in our organisation and we'd like to see it the lowest classification applied by default to our 365 services.
