Roll up attributes from one list to another

We have a list of providers and a list of staff members. If a provider has a staff member that can perform duty A is there a way to roll up that duty to a column in the provider list? Then if another staff member for that same provider can perform duty B, can we have that duty roll up to the provider list? What we are trying to accomplish is to be able to find all the duties that all staff can perform and roll up the distinct duties to the provider so at a glance we can see that the provider has staff that can perform a certain duty?
