Risk Matrix in Sharepoint

I'm totally new to Sharepoint. My task is to enter an excel file in Sharepoint. The Excel should collect data that I enter into a Sharepoint list (more precisely, this data is a risk overview, e.g. with the probability of occurrence, damage potential)....

I took the Excel as a template from the Internet - it should create a graphic from the data it takes from the Sharepoint list and publish it on Sharepoint...

Is it complicated to create something like this? Where the excel takes the data from Sharepoint and creates a graph from it which it renders in Sharepoint??

    Hi, mynona520
Yes, it is possible to create a solution where an Excel file collects data from a SharePoint list, generates a graph based on that data, and publishes it on SharePoint. It requires connecting Excel to SharePoint, designing the Excel template with formulas and charts, retrieving data from SharePoint, generating the graph, saving the file on SharePoint, and automating the update process if desired. Some technical expertise may be needed for this task.
  • What you can do is either get data from the SharePoint list in your Excel file or just export the list data to Excel. In both cases you are going to have a connection to the list...but you might have data refresh issues. What about creating that matrix with Power BI?
