REST Vs Graph API

I want to do massive CRUD operations remotely using a Java App. Was going through the Graph API as well REST APIs. Which one is more reliable in terms of uploading files, editing metadata etc. 

I can also see limited capabilities of Graph api in terms of attaching files to a list item etc.
