regarding pending status showing on SharePoint online

Somebody has clicked on the request sign off flow button and inputed a users name.
That user has not approved/declined the task.

I have clicked on the Request Sign-Off button but nothing can work out. Please help me out on it.

Actually when user will click on Request sign off option, receives notification email, when he is approving the request for any doc then sign off status does not changes and its showing pending. For your reference have attached the screenshot earlier.. So needs to know how the status will change from pending to approved.
Please update me asap.
