Groups get SharePoint: Update on rollout
First release USERS should be seeing these changes now, as of today (Monday). They weren't seeing them before for the reasons described in the original post in this thread.
I've just rechecked and our tennant is not seeing these changes as of yet - even though we have users in first release - myself included. This is at 18:48 GMT - I will check again in the morning and report back.
Thanks
Janson

Hi Ian Moran
Good to hear you used the 'workaround' too :)
RE: Site creation and provisioning from SharePoint home - yes we are in the same situation. We had this on our message center from the 8th.
Updated Feature: Allow users to create sites with Office 365 GroupsMC85380Published On : 8 November 2016Expires On : 31 January 2017This week we are updating the “Start a Site” settings in the SharePoint admin center. The new settings (renamed “Site Creation”) will let you decide if you want your users to get the new site creation experience we’re releasing in late November. The new site creation experience will let users create sites with Office 365 groups by clicking the “Create site” link on the SharePoint home page and following a new form flow. This is what I see in our Sharepoint Admin below, so the building blocks are in place, so just waiting for later this month to see the new experience. - Ian MoranNov 10, 2016Steel Contributor
Hi JansonRagon
Saw much the same thing last night. I moved the tenant from FR Selected Users to FR.
The crucial piece of information here is clicking on the "Home" link to provision the site. Once I did that I was able to connect the Group to a full Team Site. On subsequent visits to the Group sometimes the Site link is missing from the top menu so I have to click on Home again, and from the site "Group Conversations" - voila, link is back
What's still missing is provisioning this from SharePoint Home "Add Site" link - I still get the old site creation dialogue (correct options have been set in SharePoint Admin) - you ?

Hi Ian Moran
I sort of worked around it. Luckily for us we are pre rollout, so I changed the whole tennant to first release rather than named users. After a few hours the new Group/Site Integration was available. It's most evident by the navigation bar on the left hand side changing to include 'Home'. Reading between the lines here it appears that once a Site/Group has been changed it remains changed - you could potentially move the tennant to first release, enter each group and make sure you click on home so they get upgraded and then switch back to first relesae named users.
Hope that helps!

JansonRagon are you seeing this yet ? We are also in First Release and still see no Group/Site integration, based in the UK if that's relevant
