Drag & drop sharepoint to excel

The inability to drag and drop a file to create a hyperlink in Excel cells within SharePoint Online can be frustrating, especially if you're accustomed to using that feature in SharePoint Classic. However, there are alternative methods you can try to achieve the same result more efficiently. Here are a few options:

Use the "Insert Link" function in Excel:

Select the cell where you want the hyperlink.
Go to the "Insert" tab in the Excel ribbon.
Click on the "Link" or "Hyperlink" button, depending on your Excel version.
In the "Address" field, enter the URL or file path of the document in SharePoint Online.
Click "OK" to create the hyperlink.
Utilize the "Quick Edit" mode in SharePoint Online:

Navigate to the SharePoint Online library where your files are stored.
Click on the "Quick Edit" button in the toolbar to enable editing in a spreadsheet-like view.
Select the cell where you want to create the hyperlink.
Press Ctrl+K (or right-click and choose "Hyperlink") to open the "Insert Hyperlink" dialog box.
Enter the URL or file path of the document in the "Address" field.
Click "OK" to create the hyperlink.
Use the "Copy Link" option from the context menu:

Navigate to the document in SharePoint Online.
Right-click on the file and select "Copy Link" from the context menu.
Switch to Excel and select the cell where you want the hyperlink.
Paste the copied link into the cell using Ctrl+V or right-click and choose "Paste."
