Question about Organisation in the new Office 365 Profile Card
- Mar 15, 2017
Hi John Wynne - you've looped in the right markeeting owner Tom Batcheler; and I'll add Margrete Sævareid from our eng team who can hopefully loop in the right PM from Oslo - maybe Stefan Debald or other.

Thanks for reaching out.
John, are you still seeing this issue? You are correct that the organization view gets its data from AAD. If you updated this on monday and you are still not seeing the organization view we need to take a deeper look at the issue.
- John WynneMar 18, 2017Silver ContributorHi Mark / Margrete / Tom, Happy to report, with @Margrete Saevareid's help via DM I've sorted the Org problem. The classic Azure Portal works fine the Preview seemed to be the source of the problem. Tom Batcheler I'm seeing a new style Profile Card in First Release Select Users but NOT the extended card shown here: https://blogs.office.com/2017/03/10/introducing-the-new-office-365-profile-experience/ Can you explain the rollout approach here? Anyone else seeing the full extended card as shown in Office Blogs? Kind Regards John

Seeing the new profile card and think it works quite nicely actually. Well done Team Profile!
I do like that you see all the info there and then and don't have to head over to Delve.
There are some text overflow issues with long emails and some images are not loading properly, but I guess these are teething problems.
I don't see any custom profile properties, are these to come?
Is there still a plan to link up keywords, eg linking users with the same Skills, Office, Department, Project..?
(apologies if I hijacked this thread)
- John WynneMar 23, 2017Silver ContributorPleased to say this is up and running in my tenant. Thanks to some timely updates to ManagedBy in AAD, my Organisation could compare to Contoso or Adventure Works :-) Some great work here but to get the best maintenance of AAD is essential. A final thought, Delve is currently using the SharePoint User Profile Service for Org in the Profile. Leveraging AAD here too would be powerful and create 'one version of the truth' Any thoughts Mark-Kashman? A great job folks. Loving seeing the News Sites on SharePoint Home and the new extended Profile Card. It keeps things fresh! Well done

- John WynneMar 16, 2017Silver ContributorYes, unfortunately, I'm still seeing this issue. Just to further clarify I notice that updating the ManagerID within Azure Portal the ID value, the Distinguished Name, is not retained by the field although initially reporting update is successful. Can you help me understand that by updating the Manager field in the User Profile Service in SharePoint for use in Delve is using the same attribute? Should that pull through or is this completely separate. Any guidance, including the preferred method for populating the AAD attribute ManagerID. I'd love to utilize this new feature! Thanks for your help.
