Promoted Links Modern UI coming?

So, I recall not long ago getting a admin center message about Modern UI updates for Promoted Links and something other web parts being deployed soon. I haven't seen those and it seems the message has disappeared. 

 

Anyone know about this? I'm looking forward to a Modern version of promoted links, hopefully with a modern UI setup for the photo and link unlike the terrible user interaction from before which I have a good feeling will work great on Modern UI. 

 

Anyway, anyone know anything about these or seen them? Haven't seen any info just noticed that random admin message awhile back and was curious if anyone know or could share anything about it?

    Ok, I found someone who posted the message. I don't know if this means web part, or if just the list itself I guess looks modern.... Hmmm.... would by nice if this could be a webpart, guess I got excited for nothing :(.

      Well I just found the answer to my own question lol.... The list itself for adding new items etc. on these list templates have been updated to Modern UI, there isn't actually a way to show these that I know of as a web part unfortunately. Closest thing you could get is Highlighted Content Webpart.

        DeletedWaiting for this one as well. The only thing the Highlighted Content webpart would need is to be able to select the field(s) that is (are) displayed in the layouts, in the case of promoted links it would be the 'Link Location' field and not the default 'Title' field.
