Promoted Links Error
We have recently starting seeing errors with promoted links webpart with new sites that have been created.
When you create a new promoted links list then there is a Name field that is created which is also a required field. If you try and add links using the quick edit option then you get an error saying that one the required fields is not completed. If you try and add the Name field in the view settings its not visible.
If you deleted the field in SP designer then try the same thing then you get a different error. You can add list items one at a time though which is not really helpful.
Any ideas?

I assume by the tags you applied you are using SharePoint Online. I've checked the behavior in my tenant (First Release Developer Subscription) but everything works fine here. I've created a new site and then a Promoted Links List. There was also one by default. In both of them I don't have a "Name" field.
Could it be someone or something modified the lists through some form of customization?

Thanks Paul. The problem is that its not just 1 site collection its random sites that were created possibly in the last month or so.
I have older site collections which dont exhibit this problem.
We have a ticket opened with MS, so lets see....
