Problem: Names merged in search result from People Web Part

Some of our customers are using the People Web Part to e.g list contact persons for different areas. When searching for names, some results are ignored as they have been indexed as a part of another name in the list. Example:

 

People Web Part with the following names:

- Jane Doe

- John Smith

 

When searching for "John" - this gives no result. When searching for "Jane" - a result for the page is shown, but we can also see (from the hit highlighted properties) that "Doe" and "John" has been merged to "Jane DoeJohn Smith". A search for "DoeJohn" would give results...

 

Hope this makes sense, anyone else experiencing this?
