PDFs in QuickLinks webpart

Does anyone know why I can't select a PDF from the website in the QuickLinks (modern) webpart?

I kind of understand that the Document webpart currently can't do it, though at Ignite is was mentioned that this should be possible in the future. QuickLinks remains unclear to me.

The current workaround is to manually copy every link and paste it.

    Ivan54,

     

    you can do this ;-) but you will have to take a few steps.

     

    First get the Url of the pdf. 

     

    then wihtin the web part add the pdf as a link.

      I know, thats what I've meant by "The current workaround is to manually copy every link and paste it."

      It just doesn't make any sense to go around in loops, since regular office docs are directly selectable.
