Outlook: can't navigate to SharePoint

Hello,

On outlook, why is it that when I want to attach a file that is on SharePoint online, I can't navigate to the file in question?

rydianrhodney If you're using the new Outlook client then you can browse to group connected sites (Team sites) and select the documents you want to attach.

To start, click on Attach file > OneDrive (will also allow you to go to SharePoint).

When the window pops up, either click on Recent (show recent files across OneDrive and SharePoint) or Groups where you can select a group connected site (Team site). You can then navigate to the library and files. Note that you will only see sites you have access to.

When you select one or more files, you can either Share a link to it or Attach it as a copy to the email.

This is not supported. There are some alternatives:
    - install a 3rd party add-in for Outlook (list)
    - use OneDrive for Business (and sync the files of interest to your local machine)
    - manually download the files from SharePoint to your local computer and then attach them to the email
    - use SharePoint apps (browser-based) that allow attaching SharePoint documents to a new email (example) Caveat: this only works for a new email and not for an existing email
