[open in a new window] is not working in global navigation in sharepoint online moidern team site

Hi All,

I am using a modern team site, when i set a link in global navigation and enable check box for "Open in new window" and saving the link.

and when i try to open the lon from global navigation, it is not opening in new window. i am not usng any customization here.

any one have any idea, why this default feature is not working.

i have secrhed in internet, some came up with Minimal downlaod stractegy needs to be activate/deactive.Did that as well but No Luck!!!!
