Open excel sheet in sharepoint with vba

I have an excel sheet that has vba code that opens another excel sheet (without vba or macros).

When I execute my script and the destination excel sheet is not in sharepoint (lets say it is in my local hdd), the code runs fine.

But, when the excel sheet is in sharepoint (or even in my local hdd syncronized folder with sharepoint) it gets opened but ONLY IN READING MODE.

I wonder if there is a way to open this excel sheets not in read mode, but in write mode.
