I'm experiencing a similar issue. I created a site column in the site and few in content type hub, but I cannot find the corresponding managed property in the search schema. I'm not sure whether this is related to the recent search schema/crawled property issue, but the behavior seems similar.
Has anyone else noticed that newly created site columns or content type hub columns are not generating crawled properties or managed properties as expected?
