Onedrive for Business - cannot delete folders?

Official documentation from Microsoft claims that you cannot delete a folder in ONedrive for Business unless it is empty?

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/delete-files-or-folders-in-onedrive-21fe345a-e488-4fa7-932b-f053c1bebe8a#bkmk_delete_from_onedrive

Is this documentation really correct?
I personally have deleted folders from Onedrive which are full of files...........

    the documentation is incorrect.
Attached is proof that you can delete a folder without emptying it.

Do you have any comment on this?
To me the documentation is simply incorrect.
And any potential customers (or even doubtful existing customers) might simply turn away from O365 if they believe the docs to be true.............

      The documentation is actually correct

The screenshot notes the reason and this is exactly the issue that we are having. We have retention policies enabled for legislative reasons and users are complaining that they are unable to delete folders that have content.
