Not able to use "(" - opening bracket in SharePoint Online Webpart

I have an SPO site where I am creating multiple pages. Every single page prevents me from typing an opening/left parenthesis. I can type a closing parenthesis no problem. I've cleared my cache and restarted. It began recently - probably around the same time as the update where a closing parenthesis/quotation appears when you type an opening one.
