News webpart on home page missing content from associated sites
On the designated home site which is a hub site with a few associated sites there is a news feed webpart.
I wanted to add a newly created sites news webpart to be included in the News Source. The new site is listed (after waiting hours) but the test news article on the "OtherNews" communication site is not showing up.
Tested both "All sites in the hub" and "Selected Sites".
I then testing with an older site "IT Dept" (created many months ago) that was created via Communications Blank template, added a news webpart and the news does show up when checked.
Then created another brand new site Communication template posted some test news checked it on the sources on the hub site, still nothing.
I am the owner of all the sites so it should be permissions and there is no filters set anywhere.
Is there something broken when creating a new site and linking the news webparts?
PS: Audience Targeting is off.

I have 4 sites I am testing with, Internal News, Firm News, Central, IT Dept.
- Central: is the default Hub site for the firm
- Internal News: is a hub site, with Central as the parent site
- IT Dept: is a hub site, with Central as the parent site
- Firm News: is a site associated with the Central site
All sites have news on them but only the old IT Dept and Central news is showing up. The IT Dept was created months ago the Firm News and Internal News sites are only 1-3 days old respectively.
Based on my testing, it seems like any new site will not display any news on the Central site. Is there a known issue with new sites or am I doing something wrong?
- After waiting more than 24 hours the Firm News posts did finally show up but the Internal News has not. This is just a bit to flaky to be considered normal IMO.
