News web part suddenly showing Created By in stead of author
Since this week in our tenant the news web part on modern pages suddenly shows the Created by field in stead of the name entered in the author byline on the page. Anyone experiencing this too?
- Just heard from the PM who owns this feature. The team found the issue and rolled out a fix. Should be working correctly now.

- Yes, I'm experiencing it too. A flow that we use to post the news item to Teams and to Yammer then fails.
- Yes, I'm seeing that too in several tenants. I've reported it to the product team and one of my clients submitted a ticket, but another ticket would help!!
Susan_Hanley I am also experiencing this same issue. I have logged a ticket with MS support and they will verify.
