News Web Part post by page
Is there a way to use the News Web part at a page level not site level? I want some pages to each have unique news posts and not have them all show up for every page on the site with the News web part. If I can't do this with web parts is there another approach for an end user to update the content on their page like this? thanks in advance
Yes, you can achieve page‑specific news using metadata
To do this, set up a simple metadata‑based filtering model:
- Create a column in the Site Pages library (e.g., Category, Tag, Division, etc.).
- Tag each news post with the value that corresponds to the page where it should appear.
- On each page, configure the News Web Part to filter by that Page Properties, select the column and values
e.g.
- News Webpart on Page A > Page Properties > Property name Category equals A (option)
- News Webpart on Page B > Page Properties > Property name Category equals B (option)
