News Pages and Sharing
Hello! We have a few employees who have been trying to share news article pages from our News Hub using the 'Share' button. Since all employees have 'read only' access to the site, it's triggering an email to the site owner to approve the employee can share. Has anyone else experienced this as well. Wondering if this feature is not working properly. For now, I'm having employees just copy the URL and send it to other employees via email to share.
Hello Jovana_Rodriguez
it is a normal behaviour, a user without edit permissions can't share a page or other SharepPoint elements, you can't give access to other user as a read-only user.
You can deactivate the access requests in your site sharing experience. When you turn "Allow access requests" to off, no owner will receive a access request email:
Best, Dave

Thank you Dave! I've turned off allow access requests so that will help. 😃
