New Site Collection Sharing Settings SharePoint Online External Users

Hi

I have recently noticed the following new changes in SharePoint online for external users.

https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/use-office-365-sharepoint-online-as-a-business-to-business-b2b-extranet-solution-7b087413-165a-4e94-8871-4393e0b9c037

The first article claims that these new settings have  "The ability to restrict partner users to a single site. They cannot search for or view any content or users outside of their site "

Has anybody tested this setting yet? We are currently evaluating it to see if a partner user can be effectively isolated in a site collection so they can only see other users in that site collection.

This is a bit like the old stsadm people picker command to limit the people picker to a specific ou on a site collection.

  • Not sure to understand what you mean...

External users are able to access only resources (sites, libraries, documents, etc.) for which they have been given the correct permissions (and this behavior is not new at all).

What do you want to accomplish, exactly?
