New Sharepoints - Navaigation Bar at the top

On the new SharePoint pages are we able to modify the spacing for the drop-down list once we hover over a section's name or after we make a selection? We have an Organizations list, and we want to customize the spacing between the names in the list. We want to also make the list a straight drop-down list, we don't need the names to go right to left then down. We want them to go straight down.
