New "Modern" Publishing Sites Rollout?
- AFAIK there is no ETA for moderm team sites...I think we will have some news at Microsoft Ignite about this topic
Any news on this? I am in the same situation but now we are 6 months after Ignite demos. Are we close to seeing Modern Publishing Sites? I would LOVE to use those for my clients new Intranet but launching soon..
I am beginning to wonder if Microsoft is abandoning the Pubhlishing sites. It would have seemed News would have been a natural to come to publishing sites first, but it appears on team sites. There has been no dates given for rolling out modern pages to publishing, just an old refrain, "its coming". Is it that difficult that it takes 6 months to implement what is already on team sites to publishing sites.
Has Microsoft abandoned publishing sites to invest all their resources in Modern Team sites to support groups?
They are definitely coming, it's on the roadmap. A preview (or mockup) has been presented already on Ignite and Tech summit.
Chances are they will be showcased together two column layouts on the event in May.
- I'm eager for this as well. Being able to add news to publishing sites, but also a web part that allows to you to selectively determine where the news rollups are coming from (e.g. only these 6 sites instead of all news everywhere) would be a much welcome addition.
