New list item losing drop down selection

Hello, 

I have a sharepoint list that loses a drop down selection. The selection is from a lookup list.

Nothing has changed for 6-7 months and all of a sudden it randomly loses selection. This happens for multiple users, on different browsers.

Its looks almost like its refreshing and then drops the selection.
