If you need a solution to upload documents / folders into SharePoint AND set custom metadata then try the Add-in SLIM Companion Email Manager (https://store.office.com/search.aspx?productgroup=SharePoint&qu=slim). There is a 15 day trial version. The Add-in supports managed metadata and also extracts email metadata. Note: I am affiliated with the vendor. Paul
