New Group calendar web part rolling out now

The Events calendar doesn't present information on the page from a site calendar as good as the new Groups calendar does; it does, of course, show Events nicely, but many of our site calendars have individual daily items like you see in standard Outlook (and now Group) calendars. See the screenshow for how our Leave Calendar looks like - what we really want to see is a list of items filtered for today, which is what we have done with SP2013.

There's definitely a need at our end for improvements to the calendars. We're really like to see a modern calendar on the calendar page, as well as a calendar view web part, like we can have on classic pages.

- Any plans on building color coordination into these calendars?
- Yep, can't wait for the monthly calendar view to be available in modern. As an organization that does Events mainly, this will be huge :)

any ETA for this super basic feature? right now critical web part is almost unusable for my clients stopping them from deploying SPO if the Calendar Web Part can't display in full month, week, day, etc view
