NEW FEATURE: Team news authoring in the SharePoint mobile app for iOS
We are currently working on News consumption experience in Android. Should be ready Q1 2017. News authoring to follow after that.

Great to see this feature on iOS at the moment Emma Dong.
Looking forward to the news tab within SharePoint mobile on the other mobile platforms. I've added two ideas on the SharePoint UserVoice channel regarding the other mobile platforms:

Just wondering if we have any high level ETA's on the following;
- Fix for issue where news items are not aggregating properly to the iOS app (Seems to only affect when I create MOD Demo tenants)
- Aggregated news Web Part for Browser experience (for example a new tile or as part of SharePoint tile). This will be incredibly important for adoption of the new News system and removal of peoples "Central Team Sites" which currently contain all news items using older lists/web parts.- Emma DongDec 09, 2016Former Employee
Hi Antony,
Thanks for reaching out! Reply below inline:

[Emma] Could you elaborate a bit more on the problem with repro steps?

This is being worked on right now. Once done, you will see the aggregated personalized news feed in SharePoint Home (when you click the SharePoint tile). Hopefully that's matching your expectation. Alina Skarbovsky can provide more info in terms of ETA.
Thanks,
Emma

Hi Thanks Emma,
reproduction Steps for News aggregation Failure.
Go to Demos.microsoft.com
Create new Demo tenant.
Wait 24 hours. Log into Apps on Mobile as Demo User (ChristieC for example)
Add News articles to different groups that Christie is part of
Wait 24 Hours.
Check SharePoint App on Mobile for News Articles.
Thanks for Clarifying on the browser based experience and expectation there. That does meet my expectation and makes sense to have it included in the SharePoint Home to drive users to that location as the central area.
Kind Regards,
Antony
