New Communication Sites Layout Issue
The new communication sites look great but we are experiencing an issue with the layout when users only have read permission. The site moves to the right creating a large white space on the left. When logged in as an administrator the site layout is fine.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I'm having issues trying to add a full width hero web part to a page. I managed to do it once, but now can't see the full with column. Is there are trick to this?

Same. Only the main page on Communication Sites has the full-width Hero. In any child pages it sits in a column.

Anyone seeing missing "Move" controls today?
...
- Warwick WardBronze ContributorJust tested on a site that used to work fine for me and now it's broken also, I'm in First Release and have all the permissions, so this must be a bug in the deployment

Looks like it has been fixed over the weekend.
All seems fine this morning:
- Existing site is displayed correctly;
- I can add new web parts;
- I can create new communications sites.
I openned a ticket last thursday, had no resolution / follow-up yet this morning but the service seems back.

Yes all looks good for me in testing now also!

Hope so :). I have now lost the ability to create new Communicate Sites too. I am hoping this is due to the new services being pushed GA on our tenant.
- Warwick WardBronze ContributorFrom the look of it, and from the console error it's trying to render the left hand menu like on a Modern Team site, which it shouldn't on the pages of a comms site.

I am experiencing the same issue.
From my trouble-shooting it seems like it only effect users who are not in "First Release - Select Users", as I have given users Site Collection Admin and they still get the rendering issue.
Bruno Aleixo from Microsoft say they were investigating it on the post below.

As far I was aware any user should be able to view a comms site, you just need to be in First Release to actually create one from the SharePoint Home Page.
Would really like to know what's going on...

I have similar. though for me its everybody. Image below. Very Frustrating as it was working fine.

I have the same display issue and, above that, we cannot add the new web parts for an existing sites nor can we create a new communication site.
Mark-Kashman is there an issue with the service?
It does that with a least 2 of our first realease users. It was working fine last week.
Thanks

With News you can only have 1 news webpart per site collection. Meaning parent and all subsite share 1 news webpart.
