New Co-Authoring Feature REMOVES Discard Changes

If I discard changes, the page reverts back to the last published version. However, upon refreshing the page, it is still checked out to me.
It seems that it should work as it did before where the page would revert back to the last published version and be in a published state, as if it was never touched. Are others seeing this?
