I think a similar message was posted in the Teams space. The problem you are facing here is that integration between and SPO is not a 100 % finished and you can find limitation such as this one. Microsoft is going to provide the ability to add lists using the SharePoint Tab and this might solve your issue, but until it happens we have not many choices to solve this problem...by the way: how did you add the list to the Team? Using the Web Site Tab?
Thanks Juan for your response. Much appreciated. Do you know if there is any timeline for 100% completion of integration between MS Teams and SPO? Would you able to share the limitation resource you are referring as per your last reply?
I simply added the custom list app "Contacts" in the SharePoint team site created with the team in Microsoft Teams.
