Modern view for task lists and calendars?

I would also like to know this. According to this https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/Azure/en-US/243f1acb-f418-4329-8e8b-884199fe029d/task-lists-in-modern-experience?forum=SP2019, tasks in modern experience should be supported in SharePoint Server 2019, but when I asked if the same "fix"/functionality would be applied to SharePoint Online, I was asked to address this question here in the SharePoint online community.
